Integrations & API
Connect Stripe, HubSpot, and QuickBooks so the numbers in your board book come from the systems your team already runs on. Read-only access, a pull you schedule, and a preview before anything writes.
Integrations are in beta. During the beta our team turns each one on with you in a short guided session so the first pull is clean and the mapping matches how you report.
The integrations
Three vendors are live in the beta today. Each one is read-only, feeds a board book you choose, and previews every pull before it writes.
Read your recurring subscription revenue straight from billing, so the ARR and MRR line in a board book comes from the source rather than a hand-keyed number.
What it reads
- Recurring revenue, resolved into ARR and MRR
- Read-only access with the read_only scope, no write access to your Stripe account
What you configure
Nothing beyond picking the board book. Stripe supplies your recurring revenue base and BoardFluent computes the ARR and MRR line for you.
Bring pipeline and CRM signal into a board pack so pipeline value, deal counts, and win rate are read from your CRM of record.
What it reads
- Pipeline value and deal counts for the pipeline you select
- Win rate, derived from the stages you mark as qualified and won
What you configure
You choose one pipeline and mark which stages count as qualified and which count as won. Those are business questions, not field mappings, so the numbers match how your team already reports.
Read finance actuals from QuickBooks Online so spend feeding metrics like CAC comes from your books, not a spreadsheet copy.
What it reads
- Sales and marketing spend actuals from the accounts you choose
- Read-only access to your QuickBooks Online company
What you configure
You pick which expense accounts roll up into sales and marketing spend. BoardFluent totals only those accounts, so the spend number stays yours to define.
How to activate an integration
The same short path for every vendor. During the beta step one is a guided session with our team so nothing goes sideways on the first pull.
- 1
Talk to us first. During the beta we run a short guided onboarding so the first pull is clean and the mapping matches how you report.
- 2
From Dashboard, open Integrations and choose Connect for the vendor you want.
- 3
Approve read-only access on the vendor's own authorization screen. BoardFluent never sees or stores your vendor password.
- 4
Pick the board book the data should feed.
- 5
Review the field mapping and preview a pull. Nothing is written until you have seen the preview.
- 6
Turn on a manual, daily, or weekly pull when the preview looks right.
How connections work
Four principles hold for every vendor, so you always know what BoardFluent can and cannot do with a connection.
Read-only by design
Every connection asks for read-only scopes. BoardFluent reads the numbers it needs and never writes back to Stripe, HubSpot, or QuickBooks.
A pull, not a live sync
BoardFluent pulls on the schedule you choose, manual, daily, or weekly. There is no live two-way sync and no background write to your systems.
Preview before anything writes
Each pull can run as a preview first, showing the current value, the pulled value, and the change, so nothing reaches a board book by surprise.
Disconnect anytime
Disconnect a vendor whenever you want and the scheduled pull stops. You stay in control of what BoardFluent can read.
Developers
Build on the BoardFluent API
Prefer to read your board books, reporting periods, canonical inputs, and computed metric snapshots straight from your own code? The public API is documented and authenticated with a bearer key.
Coming soon
More sources are on the way. Salesforce is next in line for opportunity aggregates that feed pipeline and win rate.
Questions
- Do I need a paid plan to connect an integration?
- Yes. Integrations are a Premium capability and, during the beta, need connector access that our team enables. Connecting a live account happens with a guided onboarding session.
- Is my data written back to Stripe, HubSpot, or QuickBooks?
- No. Every connection uses read-only access. BoardFluent reads the numbers it needs and never writes to your vendor account.
- Is this a live two-way sync?
- No. BoardFluent pulls on the schedule you set, manual, daily, or weekly, and previews the change before writing it into a board book. It is a scheduled read, not a live sync.
- How do I get help setting an integration up?
- Contact BoardFluent and we will book a guided onboarding session with you. During the beta we turn each integration on together so the first pull is clean.
